INSIGHTS
This section highlights the research and analytical methods guiding my design process. Drawing on diverse sources—from census data for demographic insights to Google Trends for emerging trends—I translate raw information into actionable strategies. Here, you’ll see how data-driven decisions shape the direction and impact of each project.
Mural is an online visual collaboration platform that helps teams brainstorm, organize ideas, and visualize concepts in real time. In the example shown here, I used Mural to compare Kaiser Permanente’s existing brand elements with those of a competitor, as well as the clean, modern aesthetics of Apple. By examining these side-by-side, I was able to pinpoint areas where Kaiser’s brand needed re-evaluation and identify opportunities for a more refined, forward-looking approach.
DATA
These brief data snapshots represent the early stages of my research, drawing from U.S. Census demographics and Google Trends insights to better understand Kaiser’s potential audience. While just a fraction of the full analysis, these initial findings helped clarify who we should target, what their interests might be, and how they engage with digital content. By identifying patterns and aligning them with user expectations, this groundwork informed the overall UX direction, guiding how Kaiser’s online presence—across mobile and web—should look and feel. Ultimately, these insights laid the foundation for developing visually engaging and user-centric health insurance advertisements.
